Temple Singers

The Temple Singers, The Temple’s congregational choir, is composed of adult men and women who just love to sing! Some haven’t participated in a chorus since high school or college, while others sing at every opportunity. No matter the background, no matter the musical proficiency, all Temple congregants are welcomed into this group. No audition necessary.

So, if you have a passion for singing old and/or new Jewish music, The Temple Singers is for you. The Singers lead the musical liturgy every erev Rosh Hashanah, and sing their hearts out at Martin Luther King, Jr. Shabbat each January, when they partner with the choirs from Ebenezer Baptist Church. This is a truly rewarding way to be involved in our Temple community and the greater Atlanta community at large.

The Temple Singers begin rehearsals in August in preparation for erev Rosh Hashanah, and continue meeting periodically throughout the worship season, according to our musical commitments. If you would like to join The Temple Singers, or have any other questions, please contact their director and conductor, Cantor Deborah Hartman.
